I drew this image on the block en plein air while sitting on Union Street in Nantucket. Right as I began to carve it, I realised that the block would be a mirror image of the print, which means that these iconic houses would be on the "wrong" side of the street when I printed it, so I redrew the board switched the houses around so it would would be correct when viewing the image. I know that aficionados of Nanticket know where every famous house is, so I didn't want to raise the ire of Nantucketers by having the houses on the "wrong" side of the street.
