John Carruthers- woodcuts, pastels, paintings

The Summer of 2023 was a memorable one for me. I have been teaching and showing my work on Nantucket since 2004, and this year, I was the honoree at the Artists Association (AAN) Summer gala. It was a spectacular event, and I had three pieces auctioned off to support the work of the AAN. Along with that event, my work was featured at The Gallery on 4 India Street for July and August, and I had this great profile article run in the July issue of N magazine.
When I got back to th Hudson Valley, I was asked to do a solo show at 2Alice's Coffee Lounge in Newburgh, NY (which is up until March 2024). I also did another interview for Linea- the online promotional magazine for the Art Students League of New York City where I teach a yearly wood and lino block printing workshop the week between Christmas and New Years.
