Seward Johnson has maintained the land next to Milestone rd as an open area landscaped with a few random trees. Everyone calls it "The Serengeti". Knowing Mr. Johnson's artistic temperment, I've always considered it a large earthwork in the style of Robert Smithson. Either way, it's a beautiful piece of land that Mr. Johnson maintains for the benefit of all on Nantucket.
