Every year, I do a large woodcut of a classic summer scene for the Artist Association of Nantucket's summer gala. If you have ever been to Nantucket, you know that there is nothing more iconic then the Juice Bar. During the summer, people line up for the homemade ice cream (in homemade waffle cones) for hours. The Juice Bar is right off the wharf where the ferry comes in, so its the first thing everyone sees as the land on the island. The one question everyone asks each other when they get here is, "What's your favorite flavor at the Juice Bar". Then they ask, "Why is everything so expensive?" Ah, summer on Nantucket!
