As a young art student, I was fascinated with the writings of this great French madman. He was the Iggy Pop/Alan Vega of his day. His "Theater of Cruelty" was the forerunner of performance art- wild, in-your-face, mystical, shenanigans. His poetry and art work pushed reality into madness. A true son of Baudelaire and Rimbaud and father to Richard Foreman and Wm Burroughs.
